Svitlana Kravchenko, President
Professor Svitlana Kravchenko founded Ecopravo-Lviv and serves as its President since very beginning. Professor Kravchenko has taught environmental law in Ukraine for over 25 years. She has an international reputation for both her academic work and her practical legal work. In recent years she has specialized in public participation in environmental decision making, access to environmental information, and access to justice.
Today she is administrating an international program for environmental human rights and teaching at the University of Oregon (USA). Her most recent achievements include election as member and a vice-chair of the Compliance Committee of the Aarhus Convention, Vice-Chair for Eastern Europe of the IUCN Commission for Environmental Law.
Andriy Andrusevych, Executive Director
Andriy Andrusevych graduated from Ivan Franko Lviv National University. At the present moment he teaches international environmental law, environmental human rights in the international law and other courses at the same University. He is a member of the IUCN Commission for Environmental Law.
At Ecopravo-Lviv – since 2002. He started as an international affairs officer at EPL, now – the Executive Director.
Zoryana Kozak, Senior Lawyer
In 1993 Zoryana Kozak graduated from the Law Faculty of Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko and the post-graduated studies (aspirantura) of the same University. In 1999 she defended the PhD Dissertation in Law.
At Ecopravo-Lviv – since 1998, first as a volunteer, then as a consultant on legal issues. Since 1999 Zoryana Kozak works at Ecopravo-Lviv as a lawyer. Her responsibilities include providing of legal assistance, organization of the clinical program on environmental law. She is also involved into other activities of EPL.
Yaryna Ostapyk, Senior Lawyer
In 1999 Yaryna Ostapyk graduated from the Law Faculty of the Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko. She is a post-graduate student with specialization in criminal law, criminology and criminal executive law.
Since 1998 she was a student of clinical program of Ecopravo-Lviv. Since 1999 she works at Ecopravo-Lviv as a lawyer assistant, and then as a senior lawyer. She provides legal assistance, organizes work on providing the legal services of Ecopravo-Lviv.
Dmytro Srylnikov, Senior Lawyer, Advocate, Co-Director of the Association of Environmental Law of Central/Eastern Europe and Newly Independent States (Guta Association)
Dmytro Skrylnikov graduated from Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko and post-graduate studies (aspirantura) of the same University.
At Ecopravo-Lviv – since 1995. Since March 1999 till May 2003 he served as the executive director of Ecopravo-Lviv. He is a member of the IUCN Commission for Environmental Law.
Olha Melen, Lawyer
Olha graduated from the Law Faculty of Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko and received diploma on Jurisprudence and sertification of the translator of special literature.
In November 2001 she came to Ecopravo-Lviv as a volunteer, then started to work as a lawyer assistant. Starting July 2002, she works as a lawyer. Her main responsibilities include providing of legal consultations, representation of citizens in courts, state bodies and local authorities, writing materials for the Environmental Advocacy Journal.
Tetyana Budyakova, Fundraiser
In 2002 Tatyana Budyakova graduated from the Law Faculty of the Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko. In 2001-2002 she passed the Business English courses at the English Language Academy in London. Then she worked in the advocacy firm on protection of the refugee’s rights and as a volunteer in the environmental organization “Friends of the Earth”, at the department of the work with parliament.
At Ecopravo-Lviv she started in 1998 as a clinical program student, then as a lawyer assistant. Since 2003 she works as a fundraiser. Her main responsibilities include preparation and development of budgets, financial documents and organization’s accounting, search of the funding sources, preparation of applications, conducting of statistics, as well as work on cases.

Natalia Andrusevych, International Affairs Officer
In 1998 Natalia Andrusevych graduated from the Faculty of International Relations of the Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko, and obtained diploma of specialist on international relations and interpreter. She makes researches on European Union Law, in particular on the EU citizenship.
She works at Ecopravo-Lviv since 2002 on translations for the E-LAW network, articles for the Environmental Advocacy Journal and other translation activities.
Anatoliy Pavelko, Staff Scientist
Anatoliy Pavelko graduated from the Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko with specialization “environmental management”.
He works at Ecopravo-Lviv since 2002. His responsibilities include informational and scientific support for cases, management of the information flows and data bases, including for libraries, preparation of the expert statements on environmental issues, preparation of the briefs on environmental news.
Irena Khmilar, Office Manager
In 1994 Irena Khmilar graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko. In 2002 she graduated from the Agrarian College with a master’s degree in law.
She works at Ecopravo-Lvis since 2002 as the office manager. She is responsible for the office’s work, in and out documents and preparation of workshops, conferences, etc.
Iryna Vasylakiy, Accountant
Iryna Vasylakiy graduated from the Financial College. She worked as a cashier, accountant, economist-financier. Since 1989 she works as a chief accountant.
She works at Ecopravo-Lviv since 1995.
Sergiy Lozan, IT Manager
In 1998 Sergiy Lozan graduated from the Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko. He worked as a deputy chief editor of the social economic journal “Nova Khvylia”, methodologist of the Educational Methodic Center of the Committee of Professional Education, IT manager in the firm “SAMMIT- Lviv 247”.
At Ecopravo Lviv he works since 2002. Main responsibilities include administration of local network and supply of leased line work, maintenance of computers, connection and safety systems, design and maintenance of the web page.
Foued H. NASFI, Staff Scientist
Gained the M.S in genetics (Sweden), Ph.D in pharmacy (France) and Ph.D in biochemistry (Tunisia). In addition to teaching at the university of Sousse (Tunisia) he has been constantly following the latest researches on wetlands, promoting sea- and aquaculture programs in Tunisia, exercising a control on the components of food, water and medications.
He participated in several international symposiums (Accra, Paris, Lausanne, Abidjan, Manaus). He is the author of several publications, some of which were published in the international environmental journal "Fresenius environmental bulletin".
Currently Foued is working at EPL, thanks to the support by the Praxis Transfert programme (Switzerland).
